Director Toxicology

Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is looking for a talented Director of Toxicology to oversee the global nonclinical regulatory and investigative toxicology aspects of our product portfolio. As a key member of the toxicology team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the success of our drug development programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage nonclinical toxicology for assigned products, working closely with direct reports and cross-functional teams.
• Design and monitor toxicology studies at external partners, interpret findings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide expert input on early development strategies and regulatory submissions.
• Lead cross-functional teams, contribute to departmental processes, and stay abreast of scientific literature.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Toxicology or related field with 8-10 years of industry experience.
• Expertise in small and large molecules, oncology, CNS indications, and drug development toxicology.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines, outsourcing toxicology studies, and authoring regulatory documents.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
