Job Description
The Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay is seeking a dedicated HVAC Maintenance Engineer to ensure the property is maintained in top condition with minimal inconvenience. As the HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to keep the hotel's systems functioning efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to hotel air conditioning systems, change filters, clean coils, and replace motors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment including boilers, chillers, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Test and record readings on equipment, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen equipment.
- Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records, following local, state, and federal codes.
- Perform painting, sheet rock repairs, plumbing, furniture repair, and more.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field.
- HVAC Certification required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees and guests in a service-oriented manner.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks, handle problems efficiently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work long hours and heavy lifting may be required.
