Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the store. From merchandising and stocking products to cashiering and maintaining cleanliness, you will ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. By working collaboratively with the Aldi team, you will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills outlined for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service, assisting customers throughout their shopping experience.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory accuracy and participating in store inventory counts.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
  • Follow company procedures, uphold security standards, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Compliance with state and local regulations related to the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is a plus.
