1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are currently seeking 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handlers to join our team at Aldi. As a Package Handler, you will be responsible for various warehouse duties, including receiving and storing merchandise, preparing products for shipment, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and collaborating with team members and management. This is a full-time position with an average of 30-35 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise following product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, load, and unload merchandise strategically for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance and safety standards.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Provide input for process improvements to warehouse management.
• Inspect products for quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
• Assist in achieving budgeted goals and follow company policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and notify management of any issues.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work conscientiously, collaborate with a team, maintain a positive attitude, drive for success, and organize tasks efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.
• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
• Engage in various physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking.
• Work in varying temperatures, including outdoor and refrigerated environments.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment.
