1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. This is a full-time position with an average of 30-35 hours per week. The starting wage ranges from $20.75 to $26.75 per hour based on shift and schedule differentials. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and organizing incoming stock, preparing merchandise for shipment, conducting inventory counts, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently.
• Relocate merchandise according to handling guidelines.
• Sort, load, and unload merchandise for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain warehouse appearance.
• Participate in inventory counts and communicate effectively with team members.
• Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
• Inspect product quality and safety standards.
• Operate equipment safely and follow ergonomic procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrates conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success.
• Ability to interpret company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and basic arithmetic skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 45 pounds and move merchandise.
• Stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
