ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a talented Operations Supervisor to join our expanding team. As a crucial member of our operations, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight during assigned shifts. In this dynamic role, you will provide training, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe freight handling.
• Assign job tasks, coordinate work assignments, and monitor performance to meet loading/unloading schedules.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as necessary.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment and promote safe handling of materials.
• Support a values-driven culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and wellness.
• Contribute to team goals and assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience in service center or transportation operations is advantageous.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling techniques is beneficial.
