Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing store operations, supervising daily activities, developing action plans, and leading a team to achieve excellent performance.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 38 hours per week
  • Starting Wage: $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to drive operational improvements.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company strategy and values for a cohesive team environment.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest adjustments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide product feedback and contribute to the hiring process.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
  • Address operational issues and maintain store equipment and cleanliness.
  • Optimize stock levels, merchandise products effectively, and ensure product quality and freshness.
  • Supervise daily operations, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Uphold company policies, security, and confidentiality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
  • Experience with budgeting, personnel costs, and operating equipment.
  • Effective organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Compliance with state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to requirements.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
