Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will play a vital role in store management, overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring store performance, managing schedules, and implementing operational action plans. You will also focus on staff development, identifying training opportunities, and fostering a cohesive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to enhance store operations.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities for team members to improve performance.
  • Monitor the competitive market and provide feedback to improve store competitiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
  • Maintain stock levels, merchandise products effectively, and ensure product quality.
  • Supervise daily operations, address team issues, and ensure high customer service standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to lead and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Prior retail experience and management skills are preferred.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience considered.
  • Previous management experience is a plus.
