Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi in Dublin, OH. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, working closely with divisional real estate teams to assess construction bids. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction documents, with an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
• Work with the Director of Real Estate and Construction Manager to determine appropriate scopes for clarification or revised pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for consistent pricing structures.
• Prepare detailed bid analysis reports for project award decisions.
• Advise on efficiency improvements within the team.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents and proposals.
• Conduct market pricing reviews for critical trades.
• Assist in team training and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, RS Means software, and construction cost indices.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
