Full-Time Store Manager Trainee

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join Aldi, a leading retail company. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training to manage store operations efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational strategies while nurturing and guiding the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team performance to deliver superior customer service.
• Understand and communicate company values to foster teamwork among employees.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and satisfactorily.
• Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness standards.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and scheduling store personnel.
• Establish job expectations and performance standards for direct reports.
• Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
• Conduct store meetings and performance evaluations.
• Manage store payroll, budgets, and inventory levels.
• Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in retail management is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting and implementing company policies.
• Knowledge of budgeting, personnel management, and operating cash registers.
• Capacity to operate store equipment and perform cleaning tasks.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to the required knowledge.
• Prior management experience is a plus.

Travel

Full-Time Store Manager Trainees may need to train at multiple locations and should be flexible to travel within divisional requirements.
