Job Description

We are looking for a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our team at Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, part of The University of Vermont Health Network. As an LNA in the Post Acute Unit, you will work under the direction of the Staff Nurse to deliver essential personal care support and specific patient care. This role focuses on providing responsive communication, respect, and support to our residents.

Requirements

  • State of Vermont LNA license
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

The Post Acute Unit at UVMHN Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is dedicated to delivering goal-directed care to patients after surgery or hospitalization. Our specialized treatment programs focus on preparing, supporting, and educating patients for a smooth transition home. We cater to various conditions such as strokes, neurological issues, orthopedic care, respiratory conditions, and cardiac and post-trauma situations.

Therapy services operate Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to extend to six days a week as needed. Our nursing staff ensures continuity of care by assisting with prescribed activities on non-therapy days.
