LPN/LVN

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. The LPN/LVN will provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following individual care plans and physician orders while maintaining professional standards at all times.

Essential Job Functions:

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in accordance with physician orders.
• Observe and assess patient condition, report changes, and document all care activities promptly.
• Participate in care planning, take necessary nursing actions, and recognize/respond to patient needs.
• Adhere to Aveanna policies, regulations, and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care, and prevention strategies.
• Maintain nursing competencies through ongoing education and skill development.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
• CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with care standards.

Skills/Abilities:

• Attention to detail, time management, and effective problem-solving.
• Good organization and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
• Capability to travel and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physical agility for various patient care activities.
• Visual, auditory, and sensory acuity for patient assessment.

Environment:

• Capability to function in diverse environments with potential exposure to allergens and infectious conditions.
• Possible exposure to bodily fluids, blood, and infectious diseases.
