Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Manager in Training to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. Your responsibilities will include supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, identifying staffing needs, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans while fostering team growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store operations to provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate and model company core values to create a cohesive team environment
  • Manage staff scheduling and development to ensure efficient store operations
  • Handle customer concerns and maintain product quality and freshness
  • Conduct hiring, training, and performance evaluations of store personnel
  • Ensure store payroll and budget compliance
  • Oversee merchandising, stock levels, and inventory management
  • Maintain a safe and organized store environment

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of retail management principles
  • Experience operating a cash register and store equipment
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience
  • Prior management experience is a plus
