Mechanical Technician

Job Description

Join Cargill's global team as a Mechanical Technician, contributing to the protein and salt business segment dedicated to providing high-quality food products. In this role, you will operate maintenance tools, conduct preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and annual PMs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues following schematics.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental procedures.
• Contribute to manufacturing process reliability and maintain industry standards.
• Acquire materials, tools, and documentation for assigned work tasks.
• Complete work orders, including closeout activities and documentation.
• Communicate effectively through written daily pass-downs.
• Participate in REPI events and promote a safety-conscious work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Willingness to work weekends.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without Visa Sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older with proficiency in English.
• Successful completion of a Mechanical Aptitude test.
• Recent work history and ability to work weekends.
