Job Description
Join Cargill's global team as a Mechanical Technician, contributing to the protein and salt business segment dedicated to providing high-quality food products. In this role, you will operate maintenance tools, conduct preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate standard maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and annual PMs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues following schematics.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental procedures.
- Contribute to manufacturing process reliability and maintain industry standards.
- Acquire materials, tools, and documentation for assigned work tasks.
- Complete work orders, including closeout activities and documentation.
- Communicate effectively through written daily pass-downs.
- Participate in REPI events and promote a safety-conscious work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to work weekends.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without Visa Sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older with proficiency in English.
- Successful completion of a Mechanical Aptitude test.
- Recent work history and ability to work weekends.
