Responsibilities

• Promotes professionalism and maintains a cooperative working environment.
• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers regarding patient information.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
• Follow procedural directions, prioritize workload, and assist colleagues for productivity.
• Adhere to specimen packaging, accessioning, and transport protocols.
• Ensure infection control, patient identification, and proper specimen handling.
• Perform drug screen collection and handle emergencies appropriately.
• Provide phlebotomy services professionally and with a patient-centered approach.
• Engage in self-evaluation for skills enhancement and patient care quality.
• Promote service excellence and contribute to laboratory growth.
• Collaborate with various hospital departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program or relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting is desirable.
