Retail Sales Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide a top-notch shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the ALDI team, demonstrating exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers throughout their visit.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback to enhance product quality, minimize inventory errors, and address issues promptly.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling procedures and company policies.
• Ensure confidentiality of data and documents while upholding security standards.
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Capable of meeting cleaning standards and following company policies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comply with state and local regulations for selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
