Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Regional Manager, Safety and Security to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As the Regional Manager, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard company assets and ensure a safe work environment by preventing accidents, injuries, theft, and hazardous incidents.
General Description of Duties
- Conduct safety and security inspections of company facilities.
- Investigate vehicular accidents and incidents, including reconstructing facts, completing reports, and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide loss prevention training and education sessions.
- Analyze data to identify root causes and establish preventive measures.
- Collaborate with enforcement agencies and personnel to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Handle hazardous material spills and violations.
- Assist in new-hire orientation and training.
- Oversee personnel performance and allocation of resources.
- Maintain a positive work environment and assist in various projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience accepted in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum five years of experience in transportation, safety, or law enforcement, with investigative experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, accident investigation, and criminal law.
- Ability to work in potentially hazardous situations and be on call 24/7.
