Safety and Security Regional Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Safety and Security Regional Manager to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As a Regional Manager, Safety and Security, you will play a crucial role in protecting company assets and ensuring safe working conditions. Your responsibilities will include conducting safety and security inspections, investigating accidents, analyzing data to identify root causes, and maintaining compliance with regulations.

General Description of Duties

• Conduct safety and security inspections at ABF facilities.
• Investigate vehicular accidents and handle necessary procedures.
• Provide training sessions on loss prevention and safety awareness.
• Analyze data to establish corrective actions.
• Establish relationships with regulatory agencies and management.
• Investigate hazardous material incidents and provide training.
• Assist in DOT road tests and hazardous material training.
• Oversee personnel and allocation of resources.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in transportation, safety, or law enforcement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of industrial safety, DOT regulations, and accident investigation.
• Ability to work irregular hours and in potentially hazardous situations.
