Safety and Security Regional Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Manager of Safety and Security to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for protecting our company's assets and interests, ensuring safe working conditions, and maintaining compliance with regulations and standards. This role involves conducting safety and security inspections, investigating accidents, providing training sessions, analyzing data, and establishing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

General Description of Duties:

• Conduct safety and security inspections of facilities and properties.
• Investigate vehicular accidents and handle related processes.
• Conduct loss prevention meetings and training sessions.
• Analyze data, identify root causes, and implement corrective action.
• Perform surveillance and investigations, liaise with enforcement agencies.
• Investigate hazardous material spills and violations.
• Conduct orientation sessions and administer training.
• Oversee personnel performance, budget allocation, and route management.
• Maintain positive attitude in intense work environment.
• Assist with Alternate Work Program efforts.
• Collaborate in a team to achieve department goals.
• Work hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM with occasional irregular shifts.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; experience considered in lieu of education.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years with ArcBest or subsidiaries; transportation or safety background preferred.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Other Requirements: Knowledge of safety regulations, DOT compliance, investigative experience, surveillance techniques, hazardous materials, and law enforcement; ability to work in hazardous situations.
