Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by performing merchandising, cashiering, and cleaning duties to maintain the store's appearance. Collaboration with the ALDI team and delivering exceptional customer service are key aspects of this role.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Monitor inventory accuracy and participate in store inventory counts
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
• Follow company policies and uphold data security and confidentiality
• Perform physical tasks such as stocking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying products

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Customer service and cash register operation experience
• Ability to operate necessary equipment and perform cleaning tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
• Organization, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities
• Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail work experience advantageous
• A blend of education and work background providing equivalent knowledge
