Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of the store operations, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and store management.
  • Offer feedback on products, inventory, and other issues to management.
  • Participate in store inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Follow cash policies to minimize losses and comply with company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficiently operate a cash register and various equipment.
  • Perform general cleaning duties according to company standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Meet state and local requirements for alcohol handling and sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail work experience preferred.
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
