Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. By working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to providing exceptional customer service and upholding our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Assist customers with their shopping needs and provide exceptional service.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Monitor and report inventory issues, product quality, and scanning errors.
• Follow cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Adhere to security protocols and maintain confidentiality of store information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Proficiency in operating a cash register and store equipment.
• Capable of executing general cleaning tasks to meet company standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and in a team environment.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is an advantage.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
