Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a key member of the store, you will play a crucial role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store. Your primary focus will be to enhance the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and working collaboratively with the team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Assist customers and communicate effectively with the management team.
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Comply with established company policies, maintain security, and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safe operation of equipment and adherence to cleaning standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask efficiently.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is a plus.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
