Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the store's smooth operation by merchandising, stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness standards. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with the team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Perform cashier duties, ensure cleanliness, and maintain organized shelves and displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers and addressing inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to the management.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Follow established company policies while upholding security and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Proficient in operating cash registers and store equipment.
• Capable of maintaining cleanliness standards and following company policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask efficiently.
• Meet all necessary requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
