Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a dedicated Utilization Review RN to join our team at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) in Plattsburgh, NY. As a crucial member of the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for monitoring, collecting, and analyzing data to evaluate resource utilization, complications, and quality of care.

The Utilization Review RN plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal patient care in a cost-effective manner. By utilizing benchmarked criteria and established practices, you will contribute to the efficient use of patient services and support performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.
• CCM Preferred; Utilization review and discharge planning experience preferred.
• Three years of broad clinical nursing experience required.
• Quality assurance/risk management experience preferred.
• Experience with InterQual preferred; knowledge of MCG a plus.
