Senior Mortgage Lender

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mortgage Lender to join Civista Bank. This role involves originating first mortgage loans, promoting the bank's lending services to the real estate community, and contributing to the financial well-being of the communities we serve. As a Senior Mortgage Lender, you will play a key role in fulfilling our mission to improve the financial lives of our employees, shareholders, and community members.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through various referral partners and community activities.
• Meet with customers at different locations and guide them through the loan application process.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, government regulations, and bank policies.
• Stay informed about legislative changes affecting residential lending policies.
• Participate in special credit programs and community activities to promote the bank's services.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution or loan office.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Knowledge of banking industry practices, regulations, and Fair Lending laws.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
